Chrysostomos Giannoulakis is a sport management academic and practitioner with more than 20 years of international experience across sport administration, event management, and applied education. His work is shaped by a strong belief in education through meaningful interaction, using sport as a vehicle for social change, community impact, and the development of values and virtues, while inspiring students and practitioners to excel in high-performance and professional environments.
Academically, he is linked with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Physical Education & Sport Science (Greece), where he serves as an Adjunct Instructor (March 2019–present). He also holds teaching roles in the United States, currently working as Adjunct Instructor in Sport Management at New York University (NYU), School of Professional Studies (September 2022–present), and as Adjunct Instructor in Sport Marketing at the University of Southern Maine, School of Business (September 2025–present). Alongside his university teaching, he has been a member of ENSyntropy (May 2022–present), contributing within a professional network focused on interdisciplinary learning and development.
Within the International Soccer Science & Performance Federation (ISSPF), Giannoulakis is an Instructor in Soccer Business & Management (September 2021–present), delivering content that supports practitioners seeking to understand the organisational, leadership, and operational realities of modern football. His lectures align with the demands of club and federation environments, focusing on how effective governance, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and event operations can strengthen football programmes and professional practice.
He completed a PhD in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management at the University of Northern Colorado(2005–2008) and a Master of Education (MEd) in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management at Springfield College (2003–2005). He speaks English, German, and Greek, supporting his work across different cultural and professional contexts.
His practical affiliations include major international sport events, reflecting direct experience in large-scale operations and sport administration. This includes involvement with the Athens 2004 Summer Olympic Games, the Athens 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games, and the Indianapolis 500 Mini Marathon Festival, experiences that reinforce his expertise in sport event management, organisational delivery, and the wider impact of sport in society.
