Lloyd Parker is a performance nutritionist with extensive experience across elite football and rugby environments, combining academic depth with long-term applied work in high-performance departments. He is currently Lead Performance Nutritionist at Aspire Academy in Doha (April 2024–present), overseeing performance nutrition strategy and daily delivery within one of the region’s leading athlete development systems.
Prior to Aspire, Lloyd spent more than seven years at Everton Football Club, progressing through senior roles that reflect both technical expertise and organisational leadership. He served as 1st Team Nutritionist (October 2016–June 2019), then Head of Nutrition (June 2019–June 2022), before moving into a broader integrated performance role as Assistant Head of Sport Science & Nutrition (June 2022–March 2024). Across this period, his work supported first-team performance, recovery planning, body composition management, supplementation protocols, and the integration of nutrition within the wider sport science and medical model.
Lloyd’s applied background also includes work at Manchester City, where he contributed as Academy & Women’s Team Nutritionist (part-time, June 2015–October 2016) after starting as a Trainee Sports Scientist (June 2014–June 2015). Beyond football, he has worked within rugby performance settings as a Consultant Nutritionist at Ulster Rugby(June 2018–June 2019) and as 1st Team Nutritionist at Salford Red Devils (part-time, September 2015–September 2016), building a broad understanding of fuelling and recovery demands across different competition models and training loads.
