Based on the success of the English football in recent times through both development of the national team as well as the globally renowned English Premier League, the influence football science plays within the game continues to grow exponentially. With the country being considered as a world leader in the coaching education of football, the detail and growth mentality surrounding the education of ‘football science’ amongst coaches and practitioners in the UK is very apparent.
As more and more elite level practitioners come into the game across sport science, coaching, medicine and physiotherapy, the need and thirst for cutting edge resources to stay ahead of the competition within the game is vital. As the Department for Rehabilitation and Sport Sciences within the Bournemouth University (BU) expands, the unique collaboration between themselves and the globally acclaimed International Soccer Science and Performance Federation (ISSPF) to provide cutting edge, bespoke, online football science and performance courses & resources delivered by leading football professionals from around the world has now been formalised.
The online ISSPF courses offered through BU have been developed and delivered by some of the leading sport science and football coaching practitioners from internationally recognised football associations. The ISSPF faculty members include experts from across the English Premier League, La Liga, German Bundesliga as well as Major League Soccer clubs and other elite level clubs and national teams.
These specific courses are designed and targeted towards coaches, performance and medical support staff, learners as well as students of the game from all levels of academic range, ability and knowledge.
