ISSPF Partner Announcement
Further professional development & rise in the forward thinking South African Premier League club AmaZulu Football Club, has recently led to the official partnership agreement between themselves and the globally acclaimed International Soccer Science and Performance Federation (ISSPF) with the aim of providing cutting edge, bespoke, online soccer training resources delivered by leading Soccer Professionals from around the world.
The online courses are developed & delivered by some of the leading academics & practitioners from clubs such as Manchester United FC, Boca Juniors, Besiktas, Leicester City, England Football Association, Dynamo Moscow, Benfica, Porto, Major League Soccer clubs staff & many more, who are targeting all learners & students from a range of abilities and knowledge levels. The key courses delivered online within these unique, bespoke & accredited courses will include: Nutrition, Psychology and Mental Skills Training, Youth Soccer Player & Athletic Development, Soccer & Team Sport Training Methodology, Fitness & Conditioning Training, Tactical Analysis, Talent Identification, Goalkeeper Coaching Science and Injury Reduction & Return to Play.
Not only is the key to the partnership to develop club based staff from academy to 1st team as part of the in-house club development process, but there is the chance to be a part of an elite continued professional development & coach education strategy moving forwards.
According to the AmaZulu FC Director of Sport Science & Performance Joshua Smith, “I am delighted that we have been able to formalize this link with the ISSPF. I firmly believe that this will not only lead the club moving forward in terms of our continued education and training of staff from academy to senior level but will also allow for us to offer the community access to world class educational content.
As a club we pride ourselves on our relationship with the community, this link will allow for us to further our reach and empower those who dream of working in professional football. We will be compiling several bespoke AmaZulu/ISSPF diploma & certification courses that will provide aspiring coaches, scouts, trainers, and analysts with insight to not only domestic but international best practice standards. This is a fantastic initiative, and I am excited that AmaZulu can contribute to the football education revolution here in South Africa,” explains Smith.
The Educational possibilities provided through the courses are open to almost anyone involved in the game as Coaches, Managers, Strength & Conditioners, Sport Scientists, Physios, Medical Practitioners or Talent Scouts, and ideal to provide insights & additional qualifications as well as best practice to design and implement plans, and sessions with individual players and teams.
